Role overview
Al Watania Information Systems (Wisys) is hiring a SAP Basis Administrator in Riyadh to manage, monitor, and support SAP environments. The position focuses on keeping the SAP landscape stable, secure, and performing well while partnering with both functional and technical stakeholders on ongoing initiatives and daily support needs.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of SAP system administration, including setup, configuration, and routine maintenance.
- Carry out upgrades, apply patches, and manage transports across the SAP environment.
- Track system health and performance, then troubleshoot and resolve technical issues before they affect operations.
- Administer users, roles, and access controls.
- Support SAP systems across Development, Quality, and Production landscapes.
- Oversee backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Work alongside functional consultants and technical teams to help deliver projects successfully.
- Produce and keep current technical documents and system-related reports.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 1 and 3 years of practical SAP Basis administration experience.
- Working knowledge of SAP landscape administration; exposure to SAP NetWeaver and SAP S/4HANA will be an advantage.
- Comfort with Linux or Windows environments; database administration exposure with Oracle, HANA, or SQL Server is beneficial.
- Background supporting SAP environments in Development, Quality, and Production.
- Hands-on experience with SAP transport handling.
- Experience performing SAP upgrades and patching activities.
- Ability to manage SAP user roles and authorizations.
- Experience with backup planning and disaster recovery for SAP systems.
- SAP Basis certification is considered an added advantage.
- Strong command of both Arabic and English.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
