Role overview
Wishtree Technologies is looking for a Sales Development Representative to act as the first touchpoint for prospective customers. In this role, you will spot strong-fit prospects, start valuable conversations, and help create a reliable pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales organization. The environment emphasizes curiosity, ownership, and real relationship-building rather than rigid scripts.
Key responsibilities
- Run focused outbound outreach through LinkedIn, cold calls, tailored email cadences, and similar channels to connect with decision-makers in mid-sized and large enterprises.
- Assess prospects by understanding their business issues, technology environment, and purchase journey, then pass along well-qualified opportunities to the sales team.
- Develop and sustain a professional LinkedIn presence, use Sales Navigator for precise prospecting, nurture relationships, and support social selling in a way that reflects the company well.
- Handle cold calls in a consultative manner with structure and confidence, open conversations effectively, address objections, and work toward securing the next meeting.
- Keep CRM records accurate and complete by logging activity, tracking lead stages, and maintaining clean pipeline data; use the information to improve outreach efforts.
- Study target accounts thoroughly by researching IT challenges, recent initiatives, vendor relationships, and business priorities before making contact.
- Take ownership of pipeline goals and consistently work toward monthly and quarterly targets for outreach, meetings booked, and qualified pipeline created.
- Support pre-sales efforts by working with technical and leadership teams on proposals, effort estimates, and client-facing presentations so solutions match client needs and business goals.
- Help uncover and develop partnership and referral opportunities that broaden lead sources and support long-term business growth.
Ramp-up expectations for the first 3 months
The initial 3 months are designed as a ramp-up phase focused on learning the business, tools, and process while starting to contribute to pipeline creation.
Service and market understanding: Build a strong understanding of Wishtree’s offerings, value proposition, ideal customer profile, buyer personas, target industries, common pain points, and typical use cases.
Sales tools and process: Get practical exposure to CRM and sales platforms such as Zoho, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator; learn the outbound workflow across prospecting, email outreach, and calling; and keep prospect records and activity tracking accurate.
Prospecting and outreach: Create and research target prospect lists aligned with the ideal customer profile and begin running outbound campaigns through email, LinkedIn, and phone with messaging tailored to the company and the contact’s role.
Pre-sales and proposal exposure: Observe and gradually assist with proposal development, client presentations, and estimation discussions while learning how client requirements are turned into solutions.
Partnership and referral development: Identify possible partnership and referral opportunities through ongoing market research, support early outreach to potential partners, and help build a pipeline beyond direct outbound activity.
