About the Opportunity
A prominent financial services organisation in Qatar is looking for a seasoned Risk & Governance Specialist to contribute to the ongoing maturity of its enterprise risk setup. In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve risk practices, governance routines, and adherence to regulatory standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in rolling out enterprise risk and operational risk frameworks.
- Lead and support Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).
- Track operational risk incidents and keep risk logs up to date.
- Draft risk-related reports for senior leaders and governance forums.
- Support initiatives related to business continuity and organisational resilience.
- Review regulatory obligations and suggest process improvements where needed.
- Help create, update, and maintain policies, procedures, and control records.
- Partner with business teams to spot operational exposures and reduce them.
- Encourage and reinforce a strong organisation-wide risk mindset.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s qualification in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in operational risk or enterprise risk roles.
- Hands-on exposure to governance, internal controls, and risk reporting.
- Working knowledge of RCSA processes and methodology.
- Strong skills in analysis and professional communication.
- Prior experience in banking or financial services is an advantage.
