This role is based in Wooroloo, Western Australia, and sits within the Reintegration team, which helps prisoners prepare for life after custody. The team focuses on identifying reintegration needs early, supporting positive behaviour change, and improving outcomes that reduce reoffending.

Key responsibilities
As a Reintegration Officer, you will contribute to reintegration services by working with prisoners, internal teams, and community partners. The role is centred on practical support, collaboration, and service improvement.
- Assist with prisoner requests and support reintegration planning
- Prepare and submit applications for internal and community support services
- Build and maintain working relationships with not-for-profit organisations and other external agencies
- Help strengthen throughcare pathways and community connections
- Coordinate closely with internal staff and prisoner workers
- Support ongoing improvements to reintegration processes and services
What you’ll bring
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with people from diverse or complex backgrounds
- An empathetic, respectful approach with appropriate professional boundaries
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical behaviour
- Ability to work well with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders across different functions
- Qualifications or experience in Social Work, Psychology, or a similar discipline are considered an advantage
