Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for producing precise quantity measurements, maintaining bill of quantities documents, and supporting commercial and payment-related activities across construction projects in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of quantities accurately and on time in the required structure and format.
• Check the client-supplied BOQ for omissions or repeated items and flag issues to senior staff.
• Identify and quantify major items and long-lead quotations needed for enquiry packages.
• At the start of a project, develop a detailed BOQ, particularly for re-measured contracts.
• For detailed quantity takeoffs, prepare work packages and share them with Procurement.
• Keep the BOQ updated as construction progresses, including variations, completion of detailed design, and other changes, then distribute revised quantities to Operations, Procurement, and Cost Control.
• Handle correspondence related to subcontractor and supplier payments and variations.
• Assist the Project Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing main contract payment applications.
• Prepare payment applications and variation submissions for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collect and verify site data and supporting documents from other departments for main contract payments, variations, and the financial section of client claims.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• More than 8 years of experience in quantity surveying within a construction company is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities are expected.
