Role overview
Milish Bakery is hiring a Quality Control Technician for its Citywest, County Dublin site. This is a permanent full-time position on the technical team, with a focus on maintaining food safety, product quality, and customer compliance standards. The company is a family-run Irish bakery business established in 1959 and has built more than 65 years of expertise in producing muffins and scones for retail and foodservice clients.
The successful candidate will help ensure that products are manufactured safely, legally, and to the required specification. The role involves close coordination with Production and Technical teams to monitor standards, spot issues early, and support regulatory and customer requirements.
Work schedule
- Shift options include 4:45 AM to 2:45 PM for 4 days.
- Another shift runs from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for 5 days.
- A third shift is 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM for 4 days.
- The role is based onsite in Citywest, County Dublin.
Key responsibilities
- Perform regular quality inspections during the production process.
- Check incoming ingredients, items in process, and completed goods.
- Record quality information accurately and without delay.
- Review product specifications, weights, and packaging standards.
- Carry out hygiene and environmental verification checks.
- Complete calibration and verification of equipment as required.
- Spot quality defects and raise them through the correct channels.
- Help uphold GMP, HACCP, and food safety practices throughout the plant.
- Work with Production teams to address quality concerns quickly.
- Support customer audits and internal audit preparation.
