  • Engage stakeholders effectively in decisions and delivery activities.
  • Strengthen long-term customer relationships by understanding expectations and exceeding them.
  • Discuss and agree change control approaches with customers to protect timelines and prioritise work based on business needs.

Business development

  • Identify opportunities to expand or improve the services delivered to customers and work with account managers to progress them.
  • Contribute to tenders, including proposal content, delivery inputs, risk assessment, and compliance review.
  • Support pre-sales work and guide the team in assessing enhancements for value and cost implications.

Financial management

  • Prepare accurate financial forecasts across the project portfolio, including cost, revenue, billing, and internal charging plans.
  • Keep portfolio financials within approved budget limits.

Team management

  • Take part in leadership activities and provide performance feedback and coaching.
  • Monitor team effectiveness, encourage collaboration, and improve performance through leadership and coaching.
  • Build and motivate a high-performing team with an innovative culture.

  • Plan resource use across project and technical teams for best coverage.
  • Manage performance reviews and maintain open communication for continuous improvement.
  • Support individual development plans and career growth.
  • Maintain strong billability across the team and at the individual level.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring more than 10 years of experience in IT or engineering project management, along with hands-on exposure to the development, implementation, and support of engineering or information technology projects across different organizations.

A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline is required. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, positive, creative, and confident in presenting, communicating, negotiating, and building interpersonal relationships. Strong persuasive ability is also important.

Experience in a provider or vendor setting delivering client projects is needed, and familiarity with working in a matrix organization is expected.
