Project Designer

About the Role

Studio SOGO is seeking a Project Designer in Atlanta, GA. This position blends creative design work with project leadership support, making it a strong fit for someone who enjoys shaping ideas and helping bring projects to completion.

The role operates at the intersection of design and project coordination. You will contribute to concept development, assist with consultant coordination, support leadership on selected project phases, and take part in client presentations as ideas move from early planning through construction and delivery.

The firm works across hospitality, retail, multifamily, residential, institutional, and K-12 project types, with each assignment offering a different design challenge. The team is looking for someone eager to take ownership, support the growth of junior colleagues, and continue developing as a designer.

Responsibilities

• Develop design ideas and help turn initial concepts into workable project solutions.
• Coordinate with consultants and support communication across project teams.
• Lead defined portions of projects as needed.
• Contribute to client presentations and help communicate design intent.
• Support the progression of projects from early concept stages through construction.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and maintain momentum across multiple project types.
• Mentor and assist junior team members when appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience or capability in both design development and project coordination.

• Readiness to take initiative, own responsibilities, and support team growth.
• Portfolio and resume are required for consideration.
