Role summary
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Nairobi South Ward for a Program and Corporate Communications Officer. The position focuses on designing and delivering communication plans, handling corporate communications, supporting program activities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key duties
The role includes preparing press releases, developing written content for different communication channels, supporting public relations efforts, maintaining internal and external communication flow, managing media relationships, overseeing social media presence, and contributing to advocacy campaign planning and implementation.
Qualifications and experience
- Background in corporate communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong ability to write, edit, proofread, and produce engaging content.
- Experience supporting program management, advocacy campaigns, and event coordination.
- Comfort with digital communication tools and day-to-day social media management.
- Well-developed organizational and people skills, with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
- Exposure to development work or NGO operations is an added advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related field is required.
