Role overview
STONEWATER ENERGY PTY LTD is looking for a part-time Power Systems Engineer Intern in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The position is based onsite and focuses on supporting power systems work for solar PV and battery energy storage initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to studies related to power systems for solar PV and battery energy storage projects.
- Help with grid connection tasks and compliance checks against network requirements.
- Review single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and supporting technical documents.
- Work alongside engineering, procurement, and project teams to keep coordination smooth.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions.
- Draft technical and project updates for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Current study in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- Basic grasp of power systems principles.
- Exposure to solar PV systems or battery storage is a plus.
- Good communication and planning skills.
- Prior use of ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, or AutoCAD would be an advantage.
