Role Overview

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for supporting UK payroll operations end to end in partnership with an external payroll provider. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the full UK payroll cycle alongside an external payroll provider.
  • Check and confirm payroll results such as gross-to-net calculations, payslips, and time-and-attendance information.
  • Make sure payroll activity follows UK requirements, including PAYE, National Insurance, HMRC rules, and RTI filing obligations.
  • Help with year-end tasks such as P60 and P11D processing, as well as other statutory reporting duties.
  • Keep employee payroll data accurate, including deductions, benefits, and pension contributions.
  • Support pension administration, including automatic enrolment and both employer and employee contribution handling.
  • Carry out payroll reconciliations and support audit-related work.
  • Review and resolve payroll questions related to pay, tax, benefits, and pensions.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc payroll reports for Finance, HR, and outside parties.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance to keep data aligned across systems such as SAP and SuccessFactors.
  • Develop strong working relationships with payroll vendors and internal teams.
  • Spot process issues and help improve procedures and documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience handling UK payroll.
  • Solid understanding of UK payroll rules, including PAYE, National Insurance, HMRC reporting, and pension requirements.
  • Background in supporting end-to-end payroll in a complex or international setting.
