Role overview

This position is focused on enhancing packaging across Amazon’s supply chain, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, reduced waste, and lower damage rates. The role sits within a global packaging organization that supports continuous improvement, customer experience, and operational efficiency at scale.

Success in this role requires the ability to work in a fast-moving, uncertain, and highly technical setting. The right candidate will be a strong communicator and negotiator who can bring different teams to alignment, solve problems effectively, and turn strategic ideas into completed initiatives. A sense of ownership, optimism, agility, and solid time and project management are key.

Key responsibilities

• Lead both new and ongoing programs, ensuring projects and business targets are delivered successfully.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, customers, and adjacent teams to design and implement packaging solutions.
• Help shape packaging design choices as well as the processes that support them.
• Coordinate with program managers and business leaders to share information and execute important business priorities.
• Own support after launch, including post-mortem reviews and issue or ticket handling, while identifying ways to improve quality and operational performance.
• Keep stakeholders informed with clear updates on packaging enhancements and program progress.
• Use data analysis and root-cause investigation to uncover performance gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee packaging lab activities and testing of packaging materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Strong command of spoken, written, and reading English is essential.
• Capability to operate effectively in operational environments is preferred.

Work style and environment

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Category, Finance, Procurement, Data Science, and Global Packaging teams. The main goal is to improve the customer experience by lowering packaging waste and damage while also generating meaningful savings for the business.
