Organisational Development and Leadership Practitioner

Role overview

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a creative and motivated Organisational Development and Leadership Practitioner to join its People Team. The post will contribute to the delivery of organisation-wide work on culture, leadership and development, with a focus on improving staff experience and strengthening capability across the Trust.

In this role, you will work alongside the OD and Talent Manager and colleagues within the wider People Team to help bring the HEART Culture Framework to life, run staff engagement activity, support leadership and team development, review NHS Staff Survey results, and play a part in change, talent and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position offers the chance to influence how people feel about working in the organisation, how leaders operate, and how teams are supported to deliver excellent care. The Trust serves Coventry, Warwickshire and surrounding communities across physical health, mental health, learning disability and autism services.

What the role involves

The Practitioner will support delivery of the Trust’s organisational development, leadership and culture priorities. You will work with leaders, teams and stakeholders across the organisation to create and deliver OD interventions, assist with organisational change, improve leadership effectiveness, and contribute to succession planning and talent management.

You will also take responsibility for employee voice and engagement activity, helping ensure colleagues have practical opportunities to shape decisions and improve services. A further part of the role involves reviewing staff survey and workforce information, identifying key themes, supporting action plans and tracking improvement activity over time.

By using strong communication, partnership working and evidence-based approaches, you will help embed inclusive leadership and support the development of high-performing teams that contribute to positive staff and patient outcomes.

Person profile

The Trust is looking for someone with strong communication and facilitation skills, relevant experience in organisational development or staff engagement, and a genuine interest in creating inclusive and high-performing workplaces.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working collaboratively, using insight and evidence to guide action, and supporting initiatives that improve leadership, engagement and culture.
