Role overview
The hiring team in Downtown Houston is seeking an Onboarding Support Specialist for a six-month contract assignment. This position may be extended and could possibly move into a permanent role. The specialist will work alongside the Onboarding Coordinator, helping with onboarding tasks, processing activities, interview scheduling, and recruitment data cleanup. The arrangement follows a hybrid work model.
Compensation and benefits
The expected pay range is $20 to $25 per hour. Parking will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding workflows and coordinate background check processing.
- Reach out to candidates regarding onboarding steps and required documents.
- Track background checks that are still pending and follow up on missing paperwork.
- Coordinate interview schedules with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Support cleanup and maintenance of recruiting and onboarding data.
- Keep candidate and onboarding information accurate and up to date.
- Flag delays or issues promptly to the appropriate teammate.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in HR or onboarding.
- High school diploma required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable communicating with candidates by phone and email.
- UKG experience is considered an advantage.
Additional information
This is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension and/or conversion to a permanent position. The work location is Downtown Houston, and the schedule is hybrid.
