Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition Services, the Nutrition Aide is responsible for moving food supplies safely, keeping food at the correct temperature, assembling meals and nourishment accurately, and delivering them on time to patients, staff, and visitors.

The position also includes cleaning and sanitation duties such as operating a dishwasher, handwashing items when required, and keeping the work area clean and orderly.

Primary responsibilities

  • Handle the physical demands of the role, including extended periods of active work.
  • Spend most of the shift in physically demanding tasks, with frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy carts and equipment.
  • Transport food and nourishment items while maintaining proper temperature control and safety standards.
  • Prepare, assemble, and deliver meals accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Complete dishwashing and manual cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
