A profitable, fast-expanding social media app with more than 18 million downloads is hiring a Back-End Developer to strengthen its growing engineering team. The business is already recognised in the UK, US, Pakistan, and across Europe, and is now focused on taking the product to a wider international audience.
About the company
The organisation is scaling its back-end function to 16 developers in order to meet current demand and support continued growth. It operates as a successful, well-established scale-up with a global user base and strong momentum.
What you will do
- Build and improve back-end services for a high-traffic social media mobile application.
- Contribute to a growing engineering team supporting product scale and reliability.
- Work on systems that need to handle large volumes of users and demand.
- Collaborate remotely while staying aligned with the wider London-based team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working with back-end technologies.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Golang.
- Practical database experience with one or more of MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services.
Remuneration and work setup
The salary offered can go up to £85,000 or €85,000. The position is fully remote for candidates based in the UK or EU. When required, the company is willing to cover travel to the London office. The team also comes together for 2 company offsites each year.
