About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a Maintenance Team Associate in Barrie, Ontario, and play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe shopping and working environment. This full-time, onsite position involves participating in a structured maintenance cleaning program while managing expenses effectively. You will collaborate with the Stocking 3 Coach and other associates to execute a comprehensive cleaning regimen, ensuring adherence to all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines. Your duties will include timely cleaning of all Fresh Departments, including coolers, freezers, and display fixtures. You will also assist in inspecting maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure they are in proper working order and that sufficient supplies are available. Promoting a safe workplace is paramount, requiring completion of in-store certification programs and adherence to company policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning floors, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining carpets in both sales and non-sales areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Stocking 3 Coach and team members on a thorough cleaning schedule.
• Adhere strictly to all Food Safety regulations and cold chain protocols.
• Perform prompt cleaning of all fresh food sections, including refrigerated units and display cases.
• Inspect cleaning and maintenance equipment, ensuring operational readiness and adequate supply levels.
• Contribute to a secure work environment by completing required certifications and following company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet care in all areas of the store.
