Low Voltage Estimator

Role overview

We are looking for a Low Voltage Estimator to help prepare bids and proposals for clients based in the United States. In this role, you will review drawings and technical specifications, calculate material and labor costs, and build precise estimates for structured cabling, voice and data networks, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage work. Your estimates will directly influence budgets and proposal pricing.

Work schedule and location

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Kosovo. The working schedule is Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM CET.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret CAD drawings and low-voltage blueprint sets accurately.
• Build thorough cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontracting, construction facilities, and related project needs.
• Develop working relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Participate in pre-bid and proposal conference calls held on site.
• Create, evaluate, and refine subcontractor scopes of work, and compare vendor quotes to identify the best value.
• Prepare bid status updates and verify alignment with specifications, contract statements of work, and bid instructions.
• Present pricing estimates for customer proposals, including general conditions and special conditions.
• Draft scope requirements, complete quantity takeoffs, prepare summary cost sheets, and enter quantities into estimating tools.
• Keep cost-code records current and organized for historical reference.
• Compare completed projects against original estimates to check and improve estimating accuracy.
• Use internal and industry historical pricing data to support estimate development.

Qualifications and experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience estimating low-voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, or data/voice work.
• Hands-on experience with quantity takeoff platforms such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift, along with estimating software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel for cost analysis and modeling.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, good analytical ability, and the capacity to manage several bids under tight deadlines.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Background in BPO or other fast-moving outsourced work environments is an advantage.

Additional information

This role supports U.S.-based project bids and is intended for candidates working from Kosovo in a hybrid setup. The schedule runs in the afternoon/evening to align with CET business hours.
