L1 IT Technician

Role overview

This opportunity is for an L1 IT Technician in Sydney, working in a hybrid setup within a managed services environment. The role suits someone at the early stage of their IT career who wants to strengthen their technical background while supporting a broad range of customers and modern Microsoft-based systems. Key responsibilities

• Deliver first-line technical support to several customer accounts.
• Investigate and resolve issues in Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365.
• Assist end users with desktop systems, business applications, and cloud services.
• Work with modern workplace platforms such as Intune.
• Provide clear communication and a strong customer service experience.

Experience and skills sought

• At least 1 year of experience in IT support, service desk, or a closely related role.
• Confident customer-facing skills, ideally gained in an MSP setting.
• Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Any exposure to Intune, Entra ID, or cloud technologies is an advantage.
• Interest in cybersecurity and a desire to keep building technical capability.
• A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and a strong sense of ownership.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, CompTIA, or Cisco are highly valued.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, be based in Sydney, and be able to work in a hybrid arrangement.

Compensation

The salary is up to AUD 70,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.
