Role Overview
This entry-level role supports Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight, and regulatory reporting activities in partnership with the Compliance and Control team. The main purpose of the position is to help build and run Citi’s dedicated internal Know Your Client (KYC) program.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside Relationship Management and Compliance teams to prepare, develop, review, and obtain approval for electronic KYC records and related appendices.
- Compile and update KYC files using information gathered from both internal and external references such as company websites and regulatory portals.
- Coordinate with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to keep system data current from initiation through final approval, and provide workflow updates to the supervisor.
- Check KYC records and Customer Identification Program (CIP) documents to confirm they are complete and accurate.
- Make sure KYC records reflect local regulatory obligations and Global Business Support Unit (BSU) standards.
- Support ongoing maintenance of the BSU tool.
- Evaluate business decisions with appropriate risk awareness, keeping in mind the firm’s reputation and the protection of Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- Follow applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and ethical standards, and promptly escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
Previous relevant experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree, university degree, or an equivalent level of experience is required.
