Role overview

This position sits within the Food and Beverage & Culinary function at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Goa. It is a full-time, non-management role focused on maintaining kitchen and banquet service flow, supporting stewarding operations, and helping the team deliver a clean, efficient, and guest-ready environment.

Key duties

• Oversee stewarding support and help streamline cleaning activities.
• Check that water temperature and cleaning chemical levels are correct and properly recorded.
• Assist with banquet plate-up work when required.
• Support cooks and kitchen colleagues with day-to-day operational tasks.
• Bring required items to cooks and help replenish stock for banquets and buffets.
• Return cleaned materials and equipment to the right storage areas.
• Use and care for dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.

People management and workplace standards

• Support managers in recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering, appraisal, counseling, discipline, and employee motivation.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures at all times.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly to the manager.
• Complete all required safety learning and certifications.
• Keep uniforms and personal presentation neat and professional.
• Protect confidential information and company property.
• Greet guests warmly and respond to service needs in line with brand standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Build positive working relationships and contribute toward shared team goals.
• Maintain the quality standards expected by the property.
• Carry out any other reasonable task assigned by supervisors.

Physical requirements

The role requires frequent standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, along with bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. The ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance is needed, and work may involve uneven or slippery surfaces.

Preferred background

The ideal candidate should have completed high school or an equivalent GED. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred, along with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required.
