Job Summary
This role is focused on keeping kitchen and laundry equipment operating reliably and in line with hotel standards. The technician will handle repairs, installation, routine servicing, testing, and maintenance work while also supporting broader general maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, installations, and preventive upkeep for kitchen and laundry equipment so it remains compliant with hotel requirements.
- Run regular checks and maintenance activities on kitchen and laundry machinery to reduce breakdowns and maintain performance.
- Undertake PAT testing on portable appliances whenever it is needed.
- Close out work orders, scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, corrective work actions, and other general maintenance jobs as assigned.
- Keep the work area tidy and follow all safety procedures and standards while performing duties.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma.
- An Electrical Trade Certificate is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Kitchen Technician in the hospitality sector is expected.
- The ideal candidate should be able to diagnose issues effectively and solve problems efficiently.
- Strong spoken and written communication abilities are important.
- Working knowledge of kitchen and laundry equipment, along with related safety practices, is necessary.
