Junior Analyst

Role overview

Dr Lal Path Labs is looking for a Junior Analyst who is organized, curious, and strong in analysis. In this role, you will help business teams turn raw data into clear insights that support daily operations, planning, and decision-making. The position suits someone who enjoys research, reporting, data interpretation, and process improvement.

What you will do

• Gather data from different sources, clean it, organize it, and review it for accuracy.
• Create reports, dashboards, presentations, and concise business summaries.
• Spot trends, irregularities, patterns, and opportunities in datasets.
• Assist with market research, business analysis, and performance reviews.
• Track KPIs and operational measures to understand business performance.
• Support forecasting, planning, and strategic decision-making activities.
• Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
• Perform data checks to keep information consistent and reliable.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide analytical support.
• Document analysis methods, processes, and findings clearly.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts by sharing data-based recommendations.

Skills and competencies needed

• Strong numerical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving ability.
• Sharp attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis features.
• Good research skills and the ability to collect useful information efficiently.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to explain data and results in a simple, structured way.
• Good organization and time management.
• Comfortable working both independently and with a team.
• Interest in learning new analytical tools and business concepts.

Preferred background

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field is preferred. Candidates with internship exposure, academic projects, research work, or prior analytical experience will have an advantage. Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, reporting, business intelligence, performance analysis, data visualization, or statistical concepts is also a plus.
