Role Overview
This position is for a Custom Software Engineer with a lead-level focus on enterprise application development. The role centers on building tailored software solutions, writing and improving application components, and using modern frameworks together with agile delivery methods to create systems that are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled and enterprise software solutions for complex business challenges.
- Use Generative AI and Agentic AI approaches to automate workflows and surface useful insights within business systems.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain application components across systems and platforms.
- Take ownership of team-level decisions and contribute to decisions that affect multiple teams.
- Support solutioning for immediate team issues as well as broader cross-team problems.
- Mentor junior developers and help strengthen the team’s technical capability.
- Review and improve development practices to raise efficiency and quality.
Technical Focus
The core requirement for this role is strong expertise in Java Enterprise Edition. The position also calls for a solid understanding of object-oriented programming, hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate, familiarity with agile ways of working, and the ability to design and build RESTful APIs.
