The normal schedule is four to five days per week onsite, with the possibility of one work-from-home day weekly. Occasional travel to other jobsites or regional offices in Texas may be needed.
Relocation help is available for qualified candidates already living elsewhere in Texas who are selected for the role. More details about relocation support can be covered during the interview process.

- Help resolve employee relations matters and escalate more complex situations to senior HR leaders when needed.
- Support fact-finding efforts and documentation for complaints, workplace concerns, and possible policy breaches.
- Handle administrative work tied to employee relations, including badging, site access needs, recordkeeping, case tracking, and report preparation.
- Work with other HR groups on onboarding, offboarding, and workforce change administration at the project site.
- Partner with site leadership to promote a respectful and positive work environment.
- Assist managers with performance notes, coaching discussions, and corrective action steps.
- Conduct exit interviews and stay interviews, then use the feedback to improve the employee experience.
- Help deliver onsite engagement, communication, and culture-building efforts in alignment with HITT’s mission and values across a large, multi-team environment.
- Respond to questions and concerns from team members across functions and provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and processes.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in human resources, or equivalent additional work experience in place of a degree.
- Working understanding of core HR practices and employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, and EEO.
- Strong ability with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with workplace investigations and strong investigative judgment.
- Good conflict resolution capability.
- Strong people skills and a track record of building internal and external relationships.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects at once.
- Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Interest in working in a family-oriented, entrepreneurial, and demanding environment.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to deliver results in a fast-moving setting.
