About the Role

The HR Lead will be responsible for the full spectrum of Human Resources and People Operations, including compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. This position suits an initiative-taking HR professional who can build scalable processes, work quickly in a biotech setting, and act as a dependable partner to both employees and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the end-to-end onboarding and exit process to create a smooth employee journey.
  • Be the main HR contact for employee queries and day-to-day support.
  • Handle compensation planning, market benchmarking, and compensation analysis.
  • Oversee equity administration and related planning activities.
  • Manage yearly compensation review cycles and pay changes.
  • Administer employee benefits and coordinate with external vendors.
  • Own the company’s 401(k) program, including setup and ongoing administration of the 401(k) committee.
  • Act as the administrator for HRIS and connected people systems.
  • Prepare payroll inputs and liaise with payroll providers.
  • Keep employee data accurate and current while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage leave processes, including parental, medical, and other legally protected leave types.
  • Lead the annual performance review cycle.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives that promote employee and leadership growth.
  • Coordinate company communications and employee engagement efforts.
  • Plan and support All Hands meetings, team lunches, happy hours, and other company gatherings.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences companies.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, HR compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Hands-on experience with compensation programs, benchmarking, and equity administration.
  • Experience managing HRIS tools and payroll workflows.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.

Compensation
