Role overview
We are seeking a commercially sharp Head of Ecommerce to join a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand in New South Wales, Australia. The role sits at the centre of online growth, trading performance, and customer retention, and it calls for someone who can think strategically while staying close to day-to-day execution.
This position carries full ownership of the ecommerce function, including revenue growth, conversion improvement, customer lifetime value, and broader digital performance. It is best suited to a leader who is comfortable working hands-on and collaborating across multiple teams to deliver measurable business results.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full ecommerce trading operation and take accountability for online revenue outcomes.
- Improve conversion rates, strengthen the customer journey, and enhance digital product experiences.
- Shape and execute CRM, loyalty, and retention initiatives to increase repeat purchases and lifetime value.
- Work closely with performance marketing partners to improve acquisition efficiency and conversion rates.
- Lead digital merchandising, campaign promotion planning, and inventory coordination.
- Own forecasting, performance reporting, and core commercial tracking across revenue, conversion, CAC, AOV, and LTV.
- Analyse data, customer behaviour, and performance trends to uncover growth opportunities.
- Build, guide, and develop a high-performing ecommerce team.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver business objectives.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will bring senior ecommerce leadership experience from a DTC, digitally native, or ecommerce-led business. A strong command of the Shopify ecosystem is essential, along with a proven record of growing online revenue, improving conversion, and strengthening customer retention.
You should have solid commercial judgement, experience owning trading performance and key business metrics, and a data-led mindset with a strong focus on testing and optimisation. The role also requires the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and thrive in an environment where execution is just as important as strategy.
