Role overview

This full-time, on-site gardening role is based at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The position belongs to the Landscaping & Grounds function and sits at a non-management level.

What you will do

• Keep the outdoor areas of the property neat, welcoming, and visually appealing.
• Clean, repair, or replace fountains, planters, and other landscape features as needed.
• Plant and replace flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
• Care for flower beds, hanging baskets, and boxes by watering, weeding, trimming, and carrying out routine upkeep.
• Transplant and replace trees, flowers, and shrubs when required.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs to maintain healthy growth and appearance.
• Cut, edge, and maintain grass, including areas that cannot be reached by mowing equipment.
• Maintain lawns through mowing, raking leaves, edging, and related grounds work.
• Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems.
• Collect and dispose of waste from exterior trash bins by bagging and removing trash.
• Use dump trucks, tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles to move equipment, materials, supplies, and debris.
• Wash, clean, and refuel equipment after each use.
• Follow company rules, safety standards, and security procedures at all times.
• Report faulty equipment, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Keep uniforms and personal presentation clean and professional.
• Protect company property and help the team achieve shared goals.
• Maintain quality standards and inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Working conditions and physical demands

• Work may involve standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or for the full shift.
• The job requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• You should be comfortable handling items of different sizes and weights with good hand-eye coordination and fine motor control.
• The role includes working on uneven, sloped, or slippery surfaces and moving up and down ladders.
• You must be able to reach above the shoulders and below the knees, and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• If applicable, the role may also include snow removal and ice-management tasks.
• Continuous use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills is expected, along with frequent bilateral hand use.
