Front End Developer

Role overview

Intellibee Inc is hiring a Front End Web Designer/Developer in Raleigh, NC to support UX design and front-end development for enterprise web applications and websites serving NCDOT and NCDMV. The work centers on creating accessible, consistent user interfaces and helping maintain and improve digital solutions used across transportation-related business processes.

The team needs additional support because incoming requests from business users are exceeding current capacity. The role contributes to projects involving SharePoint reporting, ServiceNow design, SAP design, Drupal Digital Commons work for NCDOT Ferry automations, and other NCDMV initiatives. This support is important to keep critical web applications accessible, consistent, and adequately maintained while reducing delays to essential business workflows.

Location and attendance

• The candidate must come on-site on the first day to pick up equipment.
• Applicants must be based in the Triangle region of North Carolina.
• On-site attendance may be needed when business requirements call for in-person participation, including scheduled meetings or task-specific work.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain front-end interfaces and support enterprise web solutions across multiple teams.

• Create, revise, and refresh prototypes for web components and user interfaces.
• Develop HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript with accessibility in mind for content management systems and enterprise products.
• Collaborate across NCDIT Transportation teams to improve consistency in the user interface experience.
• Run training sessions and webinars for NCDOT business users on the apps, sites, and tools developed for them.

Technical focus

The position places strong emphasis on accessible UI development, reusable component design, front-end performance, and alignment with enterprise systems and design standards. Experience with AI-assisted development workflows is also part of the role.
