Role Overview
This role is for a Freight Broker based in Mohali. The position focuses on handling freight movement across the U.S. by working with shippers and carriers, finalizing rates, and supporting on-time deliveries while keeping relationships productive and professional.
Working Hours
The shift runs from 5:30 pm to 2:30 am.
Location
Mohali, India
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and oversee shipments by coordinating directly with shippers and carriers.
- Develop and maintain a dependable carrier base.
- Discuss and settle freight pricing and contract terms.
- Monitor shipment progress and step in to fix any transit issues.
- Stay in touch with customers and share regular status updates.
- Follow U.S. transportation rules and compliance requirements.
- Keep documentation, logs, and reports accurate and up to date.
Required Background
- At least 6 months of experience in U.S. freight brokerage or logistics.
- Working understanding of freight operations and applicable regulations.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities, along with negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working night shifts in a dynamic, fast-moving setting.
- Exposure to load boards, freight management tools, and MS Office.
