Founders Associate

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Founders Associate based in New York City, working in person with the CTO of a rapidly growing company building on-chain access to major global markets. The product is designed to give people who lack dependable access to transparent brokers a permissionless way to trade using self-custody and blockchain infrastructure.

The business has raised about $27M so far, has already produced more than $30M in revenue, and operates with a team of roughly 35 people. This position is a high-trust, high-ownership role for someone who can support a deeply technical leader and help keep a fast-scaling engineering organization moving efficiently.

What the role involves

You will work closely with the CTO as a multiplier across technical and operational priorities. The position goes beyond traditional assistant work and calls for real judgment, technical understanding, and the ability to earn credibility with developers, quants, and operators.

• Partner directly with the CTO on technical and operational execution
• Prepare for standups and help keep work progressing across a globally distributed engineering team
• Own important projects spanning product, engineering, and company growth
• Serve as a coordination hub for a fast-paced technical organization
• Align internal teams and external stakeholders as the company expands
• Travel when required for collaboration, conferences, and strategic needs
• Work with a founder-style sense of ownership and minimal supervision

• Solid technical grounding is essential
• Educational background in mathematics, computer science, physics, neuroscience, engineering, or another demanding technical field
• Ability to gain the trust of very technical teammates, including people with backgrounds in trading, crypto, and engineering
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills
• Interest in finance, markets, startups, or building technical businesses

Compensation

The base compensation is listed at $175K to $350K+, along with meaningful equity.
