Food & Beverage Assistant

Role overview

Dalata Hotel Group is looking for a Food & Beverage Assistant in Galway to deliver welcoming, efficient service to hotel guests. The role reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and the Operations Manager. You will be supported through Dalata Academy training and will work alongside experienced colleagues who can help you build your skills and progress within the company.

Dalata places strong emphasis on internal growth, so high-performing team members may be considered for future opportunities across the group.

Responsibilities

• Welcome returning guests personally and address them by name where appropriate.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service at all times.
• Build a strong understanding of food and wine so recommendations can be made confidently.
• Increase sales through upselling wherever possible.
• Keep the bar and restaurant areas clean and well maintained.
• Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role is required.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Experience working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Strong spoken English and good communication skills.
• Experience with Micros is an advantage.
• Previous hotel experience is preferred.
