Integrated Finance & Accounting Solutions (IFAS) is seeking a Financial Specialist to provide federal financial management, accounting, and budget analysis support. The role requires strong English communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

What you will do

  • Handle financial transactions through DHS financial platforms such as FFMS and FileOnQ/Webview, including tracking, processing, and reporting.
  • Review complex financial information, complete reconciliations, and produce accurate reports that meet federal standards.
  • Assist with budget creation, execution, and oversight, while offering input on funding allocation and financial planning.
  • Work in line with federal financial rules, OMB circulars, and DHS-specific policies and procedures.
  • Pull, organize, and analyze data from FFMS and FileOnQ/Webview using Excel and other finance tools.
  • Explain financial, investment, and planning information clearly to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Use finance and statistical analysis software to support analytical work.
  • Apply knowledge of INVEST, ACEIT, and Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs) in financial planning and analysis.
  • Balance several priorities at once while maintaining accuracy, organization, and efficiency in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of recent and progressively responsible experience in federal financial management, accounting, or budget analysis.
  • Ability to qualify for a DHS Public Trust security clearance.
  • Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree or certifications such as CPA or CGFM.
  • Experience working with DHS or other federal agencies is preferred.
