Job overview
This contract role is fully remote and centered on advanced Excel expertise. You will help train next-generation AI systems by contributing high-quality, real-world examples and domain knowledge. Prior experience in artificial intelligence is not required; strong practical knowledge of Excel and business use cases is the key requirement.
What you'll do
- Examine, interpret, and improve complex Excel workbooks used in business operations, strategic planning, and data analysis.
- Share practical feedback and demonstrate Excel best practices for operational and consulting scenarios, excluding finance-related use cases.
- Build, document, and pass on templates or solution approaches that can be used for AI training.
- Work with the client’s team to map important workflows and operational pain points reflected in Excel files.
- Test and model realistic business scenarios using advanced Excel functions and formulas.
- Prepare clear written and spoken communication, with accurate and thorough documentation.
- Help develop data analysis case studies and operational examples based on Excel expertise.
What you need
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel at an expert level, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and automation features.
- Hands-on experience creating Excel solutions for business operations, strategy, or consulting settings.
- Solid analytical ability and experience solving complex business problems that are not finance-focused.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to document procedures, create instructional content, and deliver actionable feedback.
- Experience with data analysis, scenario modeling, and improving workflows in Excel.
- Self-driven approach and comfort working independently in a remote environment.
Preferred background
A background in business operations, strategy, or management consulting is an advantage. Experience contributing to AI training or machine learning datasets in a domain-specific capacity is also helpful, as is building Excel-based tools or dashboards for operational improvement.

This position is described as a contract role. The work location is remote, and the role is based in Ireland.
