Equipment Operator

Role overview

The Equipment Operator supports aircraft turnaround activity by handling ground support equipment and helping keep ramp operations safe, orderly, and efficient.

Key duties

• Use the ground service equipment you are certified to operate, following direction from the team.
• Inspect cargo compartments and nearby areas for anything unusual, including missing or damaged components and any unidentified items.
• Carry out basic checks on ground support equipment before use to confirm it is fit for service and that standard operating procedures are being followed.
• Follow all relevant UAE regulations, along with company and airline procedures covering safety, security, quality, operational requirements, and special cargo or products.
• Work in a safe manner at all times, and promptly report incidents, errors, hazards, near misses, safety concerns, and security or service issues through the required reporting channels.
• Follow all operational procedures consistently, including correct use of handheld devices.
• Support baggage and cargo loading and unloading activities.
• Use headsets to coordinate with flight crew and ramp teams during pushback, assist with aircraft towing and ground equipment movement, and complete aircraft pushback tasks.

Education and experience

• A valid UAE driving licence is required.
• At least 1 year of experience working as an Equipment Operator is needed.
