Engineer – Smart Water Meter Installations

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced engineer to oversee smart water meter installation work across multiple locations in Doha. This position focuses on field execution, technical quality, compliance, and documentation for meter deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the installation of smart water meters at different project sites.
• Make sure all field activities follow approved standards, technical specifications, and work procedures.
• Carry out testing, commissioning, and validation of installed water meters.
• Troubleshoot installation and technical challenges, and escalate more complex issues when needed.
• Liaise with contractors, site supervisors, and internal stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly.
• Track workmanship, installation quality, and adherence to requirements during site execution.
• Prepare and maintain precise installation logs, site updates, and supporting records.
• Contribute to Non-Revenue Water reduction efforts by ensuring correct installation practices.
• Ensure activities remain aligned with ISO requirements, health and safety rules, and company operating procedures.
• Keep documentation complete and audit-ready for quality checks and reporting.

Candidate Profile

This role calls for a professional with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, along with substantial hands-on experience in water meter installation or utility operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 9 years of relevant experience in water meter installation or utility field operations.
• Practical knowledge of smart water metering systems and water distribution networks.
• Familiarity with NRW management practices is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong command of English; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
• Experience range: 9–12 years.

Additional Information

The role is based in Doha, Qatar and is intended for full-time onsite work.
