Key duties

The Dietary Aide will help ensure meals and snacks are delivered on schedule and dietary support tasks are completed accurately. The work includes kitchen and food service assistance, compliance with safety and infection-control practices, and communication of equipment or supply concerns through the proper channels.

• Serve meals and snacks according to the scheduled times.
• Wash and put away dishes.
• Help prepare tray cards, load food carts, and distribute meals.
• Report supply shortages, equipment issues, damaged or missing fixtures, and unsafe equipment using the established reporting process.
• Take part in in-service training and educational sessions.
• Comply with required infection-control procedures.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Prior experience in dietary services is preferred.
• Should be oriented toward patient care.
