Role overview
Gradiant is a global water technology company focused on advanced treatment and wastewater solutions for mission-critical industries. The organization develops proprietary end-to-end systems that help reduce water consumption, cut wastewater discharge, recover useful resources, and convert wastewater into reusable freshwater. Headquartered in Boston and founded at MIT, the company has a worldwide workforce of more than 1,400 people.
This opening is for a Civil & Structural Designer based in Coimbatore, India.
What you will do
- Develop structural drawings for water and wastewater facilities, including skids, modules, pipe supports, pipe racks, and related structures.
- Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models following the specified guidelines and standards.
- Produce general arrangement drawings, steel structure drawings, foundation drawings, pipe rack drawings, and equipment support drawings.
- Translate engineering concepts and design inputs into clear and precise technical drawings.
- Assist in preparing fabrication/manufacturing drawings and bills of materials.
- Support the creation of drawings and participate in design review activities.
- Examine project specifications, vendor submittals, and applicable local codes and standards.
- Prepare drawing packages for permitting and construction use.
- Work with other disciplines to gather the inputs needed for design completion.
What we are looking for
- A diploma, ITI qualification, or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater facilities, power, oil and gas, or industrial projects.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, with 2D capability required and 3D skills considered an added advantage.
- Ability to review technical documentation and convert it into compliant drawings.
