Role overview

Jacobs is seeking an Architecture Designer to contribute to advanced facility projects that support modern, sustainable, and highly connected environments. This role focuses on translating project inputs into coordinated design solutions, BIM models, drawings, and visual outputs for complex facilities across pharmaceutical, FMCG, and microelectronics sectors.

What you will do

• Develop architectural design options, BIM models, and drawings from verbal direction, hand sketches, and digital instructions provided by the Process Architect or Lead Architect.
• Work on advanced facilities in the pharmaceutical, FMCG, microelectronics, and related R&D environments, including production spaces, laboratories, utility buildings, OSATs, FABs, and support areas.
• Apply an understanding of GMP expectations, area and hazardous classifications, equipment layouts, move-in planning, and construction sequencing into design development, with guidance from the Process Architect where needed.
• Interpret local planning regulations, statutory rules, and safety-in-design principles while developing architectural solutions.
• Manage the progression of BIM models through the required Level of Detail across project phases.
• Create design visualizations such as renderings, walkthroughs, and 3D printed models using advanced visualization tools and plugins, while preparing multiple alternatives when required.
• Take part in model reviews and clash-resolution sessions, and chair early-stage coordination meetings until all disciplines are fully engaged.
• Produce detailed Revit-based models, families, templates, and documentation workflows, and support quantity extraction and drawing generation from the model.

Experience and qualifications

The role requires more than 6 years of experience working on advanced facility projects. Applicants should hold either a full-time Diploma in Architecture or a Bachelor of Architecture degree (5 years / 10 semesters) from an institute recognized by the Council of Architecture, India.

Work model

This is a full-time position based in the Pune / Pimpri-Chinchwad area, with a hybrid working arrangement that combines time in Jacobs offices or project sites with remote work.
