Day Porter

Job summary

City Wide Facility Solutions is hiring a dependable and detail-focused Day Porter to help keep its facilities clean, orderly, and presentable throughout the day. This role is important for maintaining a comfortable, professional environment for employees and guests. Experience in custodial work, commercial cleaning, and facilities upkeep is preferred.

Key duties

• Prepare disinfectant mixtures accurately and safely.
• Use and care for electrostatic spraying equipment correctly.
• Complete assigned service stops by following the daily route sheet.
• Coordinate with the client when needed.
• Share end-of-day updates with the supervisor.
• Keep janitor closets tidy, organized, and safe.
• Store, clean, and maintain janitorial tools and equipment in working condition.
• Ensure chemicals are labeled, diluted, and used properly.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Carry out additional routine janitorial tasks as assigned.
• Use the timekeeping system to verify working time.
• Speak with the immediate supervisor about daily priorities or schedule changes.
• Address client concerns or requests according to company policy.
• Communicate with the client through a supervisor or logbook as part of daily updates.
• Be willing to travel as needed for the role.

Requirements

• Prior experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Working knowledge of floor care methods and related equipment is necessary.
• Background in facilities maintenance is considered an advantage.
• Experience with buffing, residential painting, or industrial cleaning is beneficial.
• Strong focus on detail and consistent cleanliness standards is required.
• Good organization skills and the ability to work independently or with a team are important.

This is a full-time onsite position in Jacksonville, FL. Travel is required. Candidates should be ready to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
