The role is based in Auckland and offers exposure to large-scale computing infrastructure, day-to-day data center operations, and practical troubleshooting work.
You will spend time working independently as well as alongside other teams, gaining experience in server and network equipment support while contributing to the smooth running of the site. The environment is fast-moving, with varied daily challenges and strong emphasis on learning and development.
Training and progression
This position is structured as a 6-month trainee assignment. During this period, coaching and periodic assessments will be provided to help develop your technical capability. If performance is successful at the end of the 6 months, you may be considered for an interview for a permanent full-time role.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate hardware issues and carry out diagnostics to identify faults.
- Handle basic operating system troubleshooting tasks.

What you need
Applicants should have at least one year of experience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware or computer networks. Preferred background
A bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is preferred, along with knowledge of Linux and networking. A genuine interest in IT infrastructure and hardware is also valued.
