Role overview
The Audience Modeling and Data Science team supports Disney Advertising across Entertainment and Sports as specialists in audience strategy and data science. The group builds and refines audience segments based on signals such as brand interest, app usage, and video viewing, explores look-alike approaches to widen audience reach within Disney’s digital ecosystem, and studies how audience groups perform in live campaigns so they can be improved over time.
Disney is hiring an Analyst, Data Activation to partner with the Audience Modeling and Data Science team on incoming, data-focused needs from Disney Advertising Sales groups. This role requires a working understanding of the media environment and how data can improve ad targeting and outcomes. The position combines client advisory work with advanced analytical support.
What you will do
- Handle data-related requests coming from agency and client partners in response to RFIs and RFPs.
- Share market needs and client insights, informed by campaign results, feedback, and industry movement, with the wider audience modeling and data science group to help shape and rank new data offerings while supporting revenue goals.
- Help resolve issues across ad-technology and data platforms such as BlueKai, LiveRamp, Clypd, GAM, Tableau, Neustar, and Salesforce.
- Work with data analysis, cleansing, reporting, and formatting tasks.
- Support routine information requests by providing summaries, reports, and related data outputs to department clients.
- Operate independently while maintaining strong coordination with business partners, managing relationships, deliverables, and expectations.
- Support internal education and sales efforts around audience modeling and data science capabilities to help expand and diversify revenue.
- Contribute to process improvements by finding opportunities to automate work and increase efficiency.
Required background and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a role involving cross-platform, data-driven advertising, data science, analytics, research, ad tech, or mar tech.
- Strong ability to balance many requests, stay organized, and prioritize deadlines.
- Advanced Excel capability, along with moderate proficiency in PowerPoint or Keynote.
- Experience using reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Exposure to data platforms such as LiveRamp, Neustar, or Oracle.
- Clear communication skills for setting deadlines, explaining feasibility, and managing expectations.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and adapting collaboration style as needed.
- Interest in technology and enthusiasm for learning and applying new technical concepts.
- Agility and curiosity when working within a complex, changing advertising technology landscape.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this role in New York, NY is $83,200 to $111,500 per year. For Santa Monica, CA, the range is $79,400 to $106,400 per year. Final compensation depends on internal equity, location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The package may also include a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, along with medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and position offered.
