Consumables Associate

Position Summary

This role is a hands-on retail position focused on keeping consumables merchandise moving efficiently from the stockroom to the sales floor while delivering strong customer service. The associate works in a busy, high-traffic environment, helping maintain an organized, safe, and clean store and supporting shoppers with their needs.

Key Duties

• Welcome customers courteously and create a friendly shopping experience.
• Support shoppers by highlighting products and services, helping them find items, and guiding purchase decisions.
• Handle customer concerns when possible and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Keep the sales floor neat and appealing by replenishing stock, rotating inventory, removing damaged or expired items, and maintaining displays, signage, and pricing.
• Manage claims and returns properly, protect merchandise, identify items with higher shrink risk, and follow company safety standards.
• Unload, receive, and stock merchandise, use equipment correctly, and complete the necessary forms, logs, and records.
• Direct service-related and transactional matters to the Customer Service Manager as appropriate.
• Work merchandise picks, downstock product where needed, apply product protection when required, and complete modular sets, flex modulars, and new shelf caps.

Pay

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
