Role overview
Thom Sweeney is a British luxury menswear house known for Bespoke, Made to Measure, and Ready-to-Wear clothing. With boutiques in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, the brand is recognised for outstanding tailoring paired with a highly personal approach to service.
As the business continues to expand in South Florida, the team is seeking a proactive, well-connected professional to grow the client base across the region. This position is centred on relationship-led business development rather than a conventional in-store sales function.
The ideal person will be a natural connector who can create new commercial opportunities and introduce high-value clients to Thom Sweeney. A large part of the role will involve working away from the store, attending events, networking, forming partnerships, and building relationships with people who fit the brand’s client profile.
This opportunity is especially suitable for someone who already has a strong network in Miami and can demonstrate success in generating business through personal relationships. Experience in luxury menswear is helpful but not required. Candidates from luxury watches, automotive, hospitality, private banking, real estate, private aviation, members’ clubs, concierge services, or other premium lifestyle sectors will also be considered.

This position reports to Pablo Ospina, Store Director, Miami.

Responsibilities
- Create and nurture a healthy pipeline of prospective clients.
- Seek out and convert opportunities to bring new customers to Thom Sweeney.
- Arrange appointments for Bespoke, Made to Measure, and Ready-to-Wear services.
- Build strong connections with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, executives, athletes, and other affluent audiences.
- Represent the brand at industry functions, social occasions, and networking events.
- Stay visible and active within Miami’s luxury community.
- Develop relationships with aligned luxury businesses such as private clubs, luxury hotels, fine watch retailers, luxury automotive brands, private aviation firms, wealth management companies, concierge services, and high-end residential developments.
- Spot and create partnership opportunities that lead to client introductions and events.
- Build enduring client relationships and serve as a trusted representative of the brand.
- Work with the Miami store team to coordinate appointments and introductions.
- Ensure each new client experiences the elevated Thom Sweeney standard of service.
- Keep accurate records of client activity, interactions, and opportunities.
- Support the planning of client events, trunk shows, and networking activities.
- Attend relevant social and business gatherings across South Florida.
- Identify ways to strengthen brand visibility in important local communities.
Candidate profile
The role calls for exceptional networking ability, a strong existing presence in the Miami luxury market, and a clear history of building business through personal relationships. The successful candidate should be highly driven, entrepreneurial, comfortable working autonomously, and able to manage their own time effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a genuine enthusiasm for luxury products and services.
Helpful but not mandatory experience includes luxury retail, hospitality, watches, automotive, private banking, real estate, private aviation, or similar premium industries. An existing portfolio of high-net-worth clients, familiarity with bespoke tailoring or luxury menswear, and previous experience hosting events or handling client relationships would be advantageous.

This is not a traditional retail sales role. The core focus is on business development, relationship building, and representing the brand externally across the Miami market.
