Overview
WSP is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer focused on transportation to join the Rotorua office and contribute to transport and civil infrastructure work across Rotorua and the wider Bay of Plenty region. This role offers the chance to strengthen technical capability and project delivery experience while working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

What you will do
- Assist with the investigation, design, and delivery of civil engineering work in transportation and wider civil infrastructure.
- Prepare design outputs, drawings, reports, and contract-related documentation.
- Support project management tasks such as scheduling, cost estimating, and administration under NZS 3910.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, councils, and internal stakeholders to achieve high-quality results.
- Apply New Zealand standards and practices, with exposure to MSQA and site supervision.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in safety, quality, and customer service.
What they are looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in civil design and project delivery within transportation infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of New Zealand standards and design methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- A current clean driver's licence.
