Role Overview
The Capacity Manager is a part-time, on-site position in Dubai focused on making sure people, resources, and services are allocated effectively across projects, teams, and business functions. The role is centered on forecasting future demand, reviewing how resources are being used, and suggesting changes that help maintain smooth operations and uninterrupted service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with operations and project stakeholders to keep capacity plans aligned with organizational priorities. You will build forecasts, monitor utilization patterns, spot emerging constraints, and recommend practical actions to address them. The position also involves creating regular reports and dashboards for leadership, supporting policy and procedure development, and contributing ideas that improve how capacity is managed over time.
Qualifications
- A solid background in capacity planning and capacity management, with the ability to predict demand and improve use of resources.
- Strong analytical capability to review information, identify patterns, and guide decisions with data.
- Experience in operations management, including coordinating processes, supporting service levels, and driving efficiency improvements.
- Project management experience to help plan, organize, and deliver capacity-related work.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a closely related discipline; a higher degree is considered a plus.
- Prior exposure to government, public sector, or other large and complex organizations is an advantage.
- Comfort using data analysis tools and common productivity software such as Excel, reporting dashboards, and project management applications.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an on-site setting in Dubai.
