About the Role
Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a polished Butler to join its luxury hospitality team. This position is centered on delivering highly personalized guest care, with a strong focus on anticipating needs, maintaining flawless in-room service, and representing the property with professionalism and warmth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a representative of the hotel and provide tailored service while following property standards, procedures, and local regulations.
- Welcome arriving guests with genuine hospitality, including refreshments, luggage support, unpacking help, and room familiarization.
- Manage guest requests efficiently, covering laundry, housekeeping coordination, maintenance follow-ups, and concierge support such as dining reservations and travel planning.
- Keep guest rooms to exceptional standards through regular checks and attentive upkeep.
- Track guest preferences, maintain detailed profiles, identify VIP guests, and proactively offer services before requests are made.
- Work closely with housekeeping, food and beverage, front office, and guest services to ensure a seamless stay.
- Address complaints and concerns with tact and empathy, resolving matters promptly and documenting them properly.
- Support food and beverage service, including meal setup, room service delivery, and beverage service aligned with luxury standards.
- Assist guests with internet access, basic technical support, and information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Protect guest privacy and handle all personal information with strict discretion.
- Follow health, safety, fire, and security procedures, and report risks immediately.
- Join daily briefings and shift handovers, maintain logbooks, and share feedback and service opportunities with supervisors.
- Maintain a professional appearance, follow uniform standards, and represent the hotel with integrity.
- Collaborate respectfully with colleagues across departments and adapt to changing guest and business needs.
Required Experience
The role calls for 2 to 3 years of professional butler or luxury hospitality experience, ideally in an upscale hotel, resort, or private service setting. Experience with VIP or high-profile guests is expected, along with a proven ability to deliver proactive, personalized service.

Education and Certifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is the minimum educational requirement. Hospitality or butler service training, first aid and CPR certification, and food safety and hygiene certification are preferred.
