Role overview
BOYLE Sports is hiring a Business Analyst to connect product decision-making with development delivery across the product function. In this role, you will help ensure that work is defined clearly before it reaches development, so teams can estimate accurately, avoid unnecessary sprint-time changes, and deliver with greater confidence.
The position sits within the Product department and reports to the Director of Product. The working setup can be hybrid, based at HQ, or remote.
What the role calls for
- A highly detail-focused approach to requirements, with the ability to produce clear specifications that developers can work from without needing repeated clarification.
- Comfort discussing technical and product questions directly with developers and resolving uncertainty independently.
- A proactive mindset for identifying missing pieces early and preventing issues from becoming delivery blockers.
- The ability to stay organised and effective while handling several workstreams at once.
- Credibility with both product managers and developers as the person who protects quality and clarity in requirements.
Key responsibilities
You will turn product decisions into thorough, practical documentation that enables the development team to estimate work accurately and build without confusion. A major part of the job is making sure the scope is fully understood before a sprint begins.
You will examine edge cases, complete gap analysis, and review the full scope with stakeholders and developers before items enter delivery.
You will also help keep the backlog ready for sprint planning by working with developers to identify and close gaps before they disrupt the sprint.
In discovery, you will support product managers with research, user interviews, data gathering, and stakeholder conversations so product decisions are backed by evidence, not just documentation.
You will monitor feature progress, flag anything that is blocked, and keep the team aligned so answers are not being chased during the sprint.
What success looks like
- Development teams can estimate and plan with confidence because sprint inputs are complete and clearly written.
- Projects are delivered more predictably, with fewer surprises during development and less rework.
- You build a strong understanding of the product areas you support and how the wider team operates.
- Both product managers and developers see you as the person who keeps the detail accurate and dependable.
Experience and skills needed
The ideal candidate has worked as a Business Analyst in a consumer-focused digital product setting and has delivered features used by real customers.
You should be comfortable working in agile delivery environments, owning story-level requirements, participating in refinement sessions, and writing acceptance criteria that developers can act on.
You need strong judgment around ambiguity and a habit of identifying missing information early rather than waiting for problems to surface later.
The role also requires the ability to work quickly across multiple streams while maintaining accuracy. Experience supporting more than one product team at the same time would be an advantage.
Experience in sports betting, iGaming, or another consumer digital product would be helpful, though it is not mandatory.
