Role overview

The Bakery Department at Centra Roscommon needs a reliable team member who can keep daily operations running smoothly while maintaining a high standard of product quality and customer service. The role is focused on preparing fresh bakery items, supporting the display of products, and helping customers with friendly, efficient service.

Key duties

• Follow the Centra brand principles of being Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based in day-to-day work.
• Prepare bakery orders for customers accurately and promptly.
• Bake, finish, and present bakery items available for sale throughout the day.
• Keep bakery counters and fresh food displays looking tidy, full, and to the required standard at all times.
• Share product knowledge, recipe ideas, and personal recommendations to help customers choose items they will enjoy.
• Handle customer questions and queries in a professional, efficient manner and in line with store procedures.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate should communicate clearly, work well with others, and stay effective in a busy, high-pressure environment. Being able to manage several tasks at once is important. A strong interest in food and the confidence to encourage shoppers are also valued. HACCP training is preferred, although it is not mandatory. Previous experience in customer service would be beneficial.

Working arrangement

This is a full-time, on-site position based at Centra Roscommon in Roscommon, County Roscommon, Ireland.
