Architectural / Building Designer

About the role

Micris Design is a compact design studio that delivers residential and commercial projects, and is looking for an energetic team member to help support its expanding practice in Kingsgrove, Sydney.

The position suits someone who enjoys both residential and commercial design work and is motivated to grow with a developing firm.

Key duties

The successful applicant will be involved in preparing design and documentation work across the project lifecycle, including planning review, approvals, detailing and presentation material.

• Check planning controls such as LEP, DCP and SEPP requirements.
• Develop documentation for DA and CDC submissions.
• Produce construction drawings and detailed information.
• Create 3D perspectives and presentation visuals.
• Use the NCC/BCA when preparing and coordinating design details.

Skills and experience

Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in an Australian design office, along with strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Photoshop.

A background in architecture or a related design course is expected, together with an understanding of the NCC (BCA).

Work arrangement

This is intended as a full-time role for the right candidate, but it is based in the Kingsgrove office and does not allow remote work or work from home.

Additional requirements

An ABN is mandatory for this role, and the position is available for an immediate start.
